I’m Stacey LaBarge.
I’m a real estate broker, homeowner, developer, vacation rental owner and investor.
I want to help you avoid the mistakes I‘ve seen during my experience developing condos in San Francisco, managing vacation rentals in Maui, and selling homes and vineyards all over California. As a Realtor, I‘ve seen the good, the bad and the ugly of the real estate industry and don‘t want you to make a life altering mistake on one of the biggest purchases of your life.
I used to think all real estate agents were the same and, honestly, didn‘t want to be one because of the negative reputation they held. I have a degree in architecture and an MBA. I felt overqualified to be in an industry where little education is required to have a real estate license. Sadly, it is true that many realtors are incompetent. I‘ve seen a lot of people work with real estate agents and lose a lot of money, miss critical details that will impact resale or increase legal liability. Ultimately, I decided to become a full time realtor because I wanted to change it from the inside. What I learned is that there are some really great agents out there but they can be hard to find. I‘ve spent years cultivating a network of great agents and learning the questions to ask to quickly assess their capabilities. I want to help you find an agent who will pay attention to detail, maintain calm, think strategically and give you the information you need to make the best decision for you and your family.
Vetted Referral is a service to identify a vetted agents in each market that you can trust. In many markets I already have vetted agents who have a track record with mutual clients. In new markets, I will seek out and interview multiple agents to provide you with vetted referral options.
Note that I will always provide more than one referral in a given market. Why? Because one of the most critical components of success when working with an agent is not only the agent‘s expertise but also the personality fit with the client. I will provide you with a short list of quesitons you can ask that help you quickly assess if the agent is the right fit for your unique needs.
I hear you saying, “this all sounds great but what‘s the cost?”. There is no cost to you! While it‘s not a secret, a little known fact in the industry is that agents pay other agents a referral fee for making an introduction to a potential client. This referral fee comes out of the broker‘s commission when your transaction closes. When we make a warm introduction to a vetted agent in your market and they help you successfully buy or sell a home, we get paid. We are all incentivized to do our job well and ensure you are in good hands. Ready to take the next steps and find a trusted agent, call or email me:
